Crabmeat Imperial
1 tsp. Mustard Powder 1 tsp. Water 2 – 6½ oz. Cans Crabmeat 1 Tbsp. Capers or Chopped Sweet Pickle 1 Tbsp. Chopped Parsley 1 Tbsp. Chopped Pimento ¼ tsp. White Pepper 1 Egg (beaten) ½ C. Mayonnaise Mayonnaise and Paprika


Mix mustard powder with water and let stand 10 minutes. Drain crab, flake and remove bony tissue. Combine mustard with capers or pickle, pimento, parsley, pepper, egg, and mayonnaise. Blend well and gently mix with crabmeat. Heap into greased shells or individual bakers. Garnish with a spoonful of mayonnaise and paprika. Bake at 350°F. for 15 minutes. Makes 4 – 5 servings. (If preferred, use 1lb. fresh crabmeat. Add salt to taste).
